Rediscovering Your Vision with Grace
Have you ever felt a stirring in your heart, a vision or dream that once burned brightly within you, only to find it dimmed by the passing of time and the demands of life? Perhaps you started a project, embarked on a ministry, small business, or pursued a goal with diligence and fervor, only to set it aside as other responsibilities took precedence.
well Same sis, Same! There have been times in my life where i have strong vision for something. I start out well, CONSISTENT, motivated, and just in my bag about it. but life be life’n! seasons change and sometimes its with little to no notice. what worked for me in the last season doesn’t feel right or fit the same in the current season, less me time, and new and more responsibilities occur. that is sometimes hard to process, if processed at all because let’s be honest “survival mode” will have you SUPPRESSING what you are truly going through. One things for certain though: A vision from God is a vision from God. This means that God owns it, he just gave it to us to steward and manage it. It may have been years since you were able to give anything towards the vision you once had, that’s ok. Do not harp on the past, do not walk in shame or bitterness towards previous seasons, or discouragement. Let the past be the past, turn the time over to God and believe that he is a redeemer. he wants to see the vision happen more than you do!
I received a gentle reminder that the vision God gave me, he never walked away from. He is just patient and full of compassion. My mentor always told me “You are not waiting on God, God is waiting on you”. He is full of Grace and his grace is SUFFICIENT. I had to ask myself “am i RECEIVING his grace, or just acknowledging that it’s there?”
I want to encourage you today to pick back up those things that once ignited a passion within you. It's easy to feel discouraged when what you envisioned for your life, business, or your ministry doesn't seem to be coming to fruition in this season. But I want to remind you that God's grace is sufficient.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2Cor 12:9 niv
Isaiah 40:31 tells us, "but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." This verse reminds us that our strength is renewed when we wait on the Lord. It's okay to set aside a vision for a season, trusting that God will fulfill it in His perfect timing.
So, if you find yourself in a season where the vision you once had seems distant or unattainable, I want to encourage you to take heart. God sees you and your desire to serve Him and others while being your very best.
Take this season as an opportunity to rest in God's grace and to allow Him to renew your strength. This is your invitation to rediscover your vision through the eyes of Grace. take off any lens he did not give you. Even if you don’t feel it, pray about it and see what happens.
Before I go i want to leave you with some steps that will help to rediscover vision, and dreams:
